How to Easily Format SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 with Safe Hard Reset?

Sony Xperia Tipo family get 2 product, one is single card GSM with code Xperia Tipo ST21i (ST21a) and the other one is Xperia Tipo with dual slot simcard GSM-GSM with code Xperia Tipo ST21i2 (ST21a2). Basically the specifications is almost the same, and the operation method also not different.

How to Solved SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 Problem Hang or Stuck or Freezing ?

XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 already have good specifications of processor, for daily usage it will run in good conditions. Some user got problem with XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 like hang or freezing or not responding or screen can not respond with touch or stuck while booting or at applications. When this problem appear in SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2, better try to do soft reset or reboot XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 by pressing power button and choose reboot/restart at LCD menu. If this problem not gone, you have to do more with perform factory default with master reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2.

#Option 1, Hard Reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 with Software Menu :

Turn on XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2
Make sure you already backup all important data
Go to menu: Setting > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset
Choose Erase everything to continue and confirm you ready to do the format XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2.
The XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 will continue the step until ready to use in clean factory default.

#Option 2, Hard Reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 with Flashtool applications.

Flashtool applications have to be installed in you computer and ready with data cable
Make sure XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 battery is charge properly or full charge
Power off XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2
Boot XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 to flashmode with using: Volume Down Button and connect to USB cable at No.1 above
Follow the menu at you computer display, it is easy to understand the steps.

#Option 3, Hard Reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 with PC Companion Software from Computer

Please Make Sure the Battery not Empty
PC Companion is default applications for Sony Smartphone which can be download from Sony Website
After install at our computer, open PC Companion Applications
Before connect to phone, please choose Phone Update and follow several step at PC Companion
At some menu, PC Companion will tell us how to connect the phone with PC Companion using USB cable and press the Volume Down button
Finish the PC Companion step and until it doing Factory Reset to XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 to factory default Android operating system.

#Option 4, Hard Reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2 with Hardware Key Button:

Make sure the battery fully charge
Do not forget to backup all important data
Turn off the SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2
Press and Hold together: Power Button + Volume Up Button for several seconds
Follow the menu at LCD screen to continue the hard reset SONY XPERIA TIPO ST21i & ST21i2

  Hi, if you forgot the security protections answer, then you can bypass or unlock using Google account. Please you have to try give several time wrong answer continuously until your phone freeze or locked 30 seconds. At this locked conditions, you can find Forgot Password button, press this button, then you can unlock your Sony Xperia Tipo using Google account that you have signed in before.

  Hi, try to use Gmail account to unlock forgotten security protections at your Sony Xperia Tipo. How to unlock Sony Xperia Tipo using Gmail account? Please give several time wrong answer continuously until your phone locked or freeze 30 seconds.   Hi, it seems that your Sony Xperia Tipo already get root and install with custom recovery, there are some possibilities that can happen when you try to use custom rom or doing tweak with root, but some wrong steps can make your Sony Xperia Tipo stuck or boot loop like what you get now. Maybe you can try to reinstall again with previous custom rom (if you ever did that). You also can try to use PC Companion, but mostly it will not work if your phone already use non standard rom, but you can give try.

  Hi, please follow several steps to hard reset above, but if your Sony Xperia Tipo can not turn on, then we suggest doing hard reset or reformat using PC Companion applications which need to download from Sony official website and install that apps at you computer PC.

  Hi, first you can try to do reformat or re-flash your Sony Xperia Tipo to factory default firmware using PC Companion. Please download this applications from Sony official website, then install it at PC Computer using Windows operating system. Prepare USB cable and make sure your Computer PC already connected to Internet, because once you running the process, then your computer which run PC Companion will download latest file source operating system from Sony website. After you finish prepare everything, then please run process with steps at #Options 3 above.

  Hi, please try to use PC Companion to re-flashing your Sony Xperia Tipo. Follow steps at #Option 3 above. You also can try to reflash using Flashtool but you need to download manually the Sony Xperia Tipo Flashtool firmware, but using PC Companion is more easy because that software will try to find the latest firmware automatically.

I've been tryin to do the reset but not the one that wipes any off your personal stuff an dnt know the pin as I've never used this or set it myself so is it a standard code if so wat would is be please? I have a Sony Xperia tipo an need to reset cause its not been excepting my freebies fully so gunna try an see if this helps so sum help would be awesome thank you!

This is some steps to backup data at your Sony Xperia Tipo, for phone contact, as far as you have sign-in with Google account, then your contact will backup automatically, but to make sure please check your data at https://contacts.google.com using computer. For backup important data at your sony Xperia Tipo, please use microSD external simcard and use file manager (or download it from Google Play Store it not available) and find and choose your photos, video, downloaded files and other important data. After backup finish, then please do hard reset using menu Setting.
