Hi, if you have try to do hard reset or master format using standard recommended steps at #option 1 above, but you still can not do hard reset or reformat your Huawei Ascend Y520, then please follow steps at #option 4 above carefully to hard reset or reformat to factory default Huawei Ascend Y520. But first you have to download Huawei Ascend Y520 official firmware from Huawei Mobile website. We recommended to use Pc Computer with Internet browser such as Firefox or Chrome, then choose your firmware mode, after finish download, then extract that files into on folder. After that copy all content include dload folder into microSD simcard (you can use card reader to do this). My husband"s phone just went black after running out of battery power. We tried everything (this after 5 months use. When you plug the original Huawei power cable in, it show the battery charge and that is it! You can not switch it on as it go black strait after it show the battery charging. we gave it in and the reply that we got from them was that the fact that my husband carry his cell in his jacket pocket they suspect water damage - not acceptable!
