Hi, usually if you use official factory default operating system for Lenovo S650, then your firmware will be reformat back to beginning again like new. Mostly using menu Setting to reformat is better then using hardware button combination key. Usually after finish reformat or hard reset process, your phone will back to main menu again, but please open Gmail or Google Play Store, then you will ask for Google username and password and it mean you are successfully reformat and need to re-setup your Lenovo S650 from beginning.
