how can i update software & root my phone samsung GT-S5282 when my phone is not powering on.
Hi, the basic think to update your operating system (or root as well), that your Samsung Galaxy Star should work properly or can powering ON. Basically we are not recommended to do root, but for doing upgrade the operating system or firmware, you can use OTA (Over The Air) menu from Setting > About Phone. Hi, the internal memory of Samsung Galaxy Star is 4GB total, but some space already use for install the operating system and also installed factory default applications. The amout of internal memory use for save the file source of firmware as well, so if you want to reinstall or reformat the operating system, then your phone will get it from your internal memory. Therefore, almost all phone will not give the free space 4GB or even 16GB will use 20-30% of that total memory size (this is will also different again if the phone separate the internal memory become 2 partitions (data and system)

Hi, you have to make sure your LCD screen is not damage. Try to restart or reboot the phone, usually you will see the Samsung LOGO or some other text, if this is appear then your LCD is normal but your applications causes this trouble.
