Hi, could you please make more clear what kind of address that still shown at you Samsung Galaxy Ace? If you mean phonebook still show after doing hard reset or format, usually this happen because your Android show phonebook from memory simcard.
I want to give my old Galaxy ace to a friend. We have done a factory reset by pressing *2767*3855# but now the phone won't restart - just goes on a loop - any advice? If not obvious I am not very tecnically minded!
Hi, the factory reset code at Samsung Galaxy Ace will work without problems at normal or standard phone. This code may not work properly if your Galaxy Ace already rooted or install with custom ROM. Please try to do hard reset with hardware button key. If the problem still happen you can try to restore or reinstall the firmware using Samsung KIES applications from your computer. But you have to download Samsung KIES application from Samsung official website.

Hi, actually we can not give exact solutions before see the hardware. However, you still can try to do hard reset using hardware button combination key at #Option 1 steps above. Maybe your technician mean your operating system has deleted, but this process to remove the firmware file source only can done if your phone has rooted or get some other non standard tweak.
