  • Hi, you can try to unlock forgotten security protection using Google account or Gmail account. Please type several time wrong password continuously until the phone freeze, and you will find Forgot Password / Pattern button, press this button to unlock using Google account username and password. If you can not access Google account, then you should try to do hard reset with step #2 or #3 or #4 above.

      • Hi, the security protection can be bypass or unlock using Google account or Gmail account. Please remember the Gmail that you have already Sign-in when the first time using Sony Xperia M. That Gmail account use to synchronize our Android data to Google server. That Gmail account can be use to bypass forgotten security protection password or pattern. Please try to give several time wrong answer for your security lock, after about 5 times wrong answer continuously, your Sony Xperia M will be temporary locked or freeze about 30 seconds. At this time, you will find Forgot Password / Pattern button. Press this button, then you will be ask for Gmail username and password (the same account with the first time sign-in at this Android). That Gmail account will unlock or bypass your forgot answer.

        How about if you can not access Gmail account for bypass or unlock forgotten security protection? Please make sure your Internet connection active when we need to bypass the forgotten security protection. If still can not access, the you should do hard reset with step at Option #3 or #4.

        • Hi, the last solutions for you to bypass forgotten security protection at your Sony Xperia M is doing hard reset or master format. You should use hardware button key at #Option 3 or use computer install with PC Companion at #Option 4 above.

• Hi...I have a Sony Xperia m dual purchased about 4 months ago. Previously I was using both sim (bsnl docomo) at 2g,it was working fine but later on I upgraded my bsnl to 3g,the phone started getting hang when I disable the data connection. Then I updated my phone using pc companion as told by cc guys , still the result is same.There is no problem with the 2g but how can fix my 3g without getting hanged up.....please help me..I need ur suggestions ASAP

  • Hi, by default your phone will work normally with 2G or 3G. Although we setup the Sony Xperia M setting for 2G only or 3G only, the phone should not hang. Try to change the simcard with other working one. You also should consider to do hard reset if the problem still happen.

  • Hi, usually if the security password only work when you turn on the phone, then it should be Simcard Pin Lock. Try to remove the SIM card lock by go to Setting Menu > Security > Sim card lock at your Sony Xperia M. You will have to deactivate the SIM card lock protection at this locations. Sim card lock is different with screen security protection. The screen security protection will active anytime (depend on how long time the screen lock will active) when we wake up or open the screen.

• hola , necesito ayuda y se los agradeceria, mi sony xperia m se queda trabado en las letras de sony, ya probe con flashtool, pc companion, update service y nada, el celular no me lo reconoce la pc y tampoco entra en modo flash...agradeceria su ayuda..saludos

  • Hi, sorry we reply with English. If your Sony Xperia M still at default conditions without Root or using custom rom, then it should be hard reset with some options above. PC Companion is the easy way to do with computer. But please remember, you need to use computer which already recognize your Sony Xperia M, in other word, your computer already detect the phone driver.

• Hi! I have got some problem in hard resetting my Sony xperia m c1904. The problem is after hard resetting my Sony it automatically restart and Sony logo is shown but it restart again & again , now i can't use my Sony. Is there any suggestion for this can anybody help me?

  • Hi, there are several options that you can do to perform hard reset at your Sony Xperia M C1904. If because of any reasons you can not access recovery menu with hardware button, then follow the options #4 above to hard reset Sony Xperia M using PC Companion.   • Hi, unfortunately you only can recover forgotten security password using Gmail account should use Internet data connection, so the phone can received and get response from Google server. If you never make your Sony Xperia M at flight mode, then you still can use or borrow any other GSM card which already active with Internet, then follow again the steps to recover forgotten password using Google account. If you still can not access the Internet, then the only way you can do is doing hard reset or master format using hardware button #Option 3 or using PC Companion at #Option 4.

• My sony xperia m c2005 asked me to type password to decrypt storage wich I never set it before .

  • Hi, as far as we know, Sony Xperia M phone does not have any default encryption options. Maybe you have been installing 3th party applications to encrypt the storage for security reasons. If your problem comes from that 3th party applications, then you should do hard reset or master format to reinstall and remove all applications and reinstall back to factory default setting and applications. You can choose 2 ways to hard reset, using hardware button key at #Option 3 or using PC Companion with computer with Microsoft Windows operaing system like #Option 4 above.

      • Hi, please make sure your computer with MS Windows operating system already installed, otherwise, you should download Sony Xperia Driver, please find your Sony Xperia M driver at Sony Official website, after that please try again to connect your phone after PC Companion give info to connect.

• Hi, got problem with my xperia m c1905. while i'm updating my phone today using pc companion my loptop reboot suddenly (maybe because i'm also updating my window xp). then when my loptop started i noticed that my xperia was still on black screen and then when i press the power button sony logo appears and it was stack-up up to this writing. I already tried to hard reset the phone using volume down+power button but still the same result (only sony logo appear). Even in the sony companion installed on my loptop does not recognize my xperia anymore.

  • Hi, this is serious problem when doing flashing or writing the firmware but interrupted because of power computer trouble. We just worry your phone stuck and can not use anymore without help of Sony authorize service center. Therefore we always write to always charge our phone before flashing, but also we never predict or get in this situations that computer restart by itself because of upgrade firmware. Usually just because power failure when flashing with PC computer without UPS, but the solutions when the phone bricks then we should ask help for Sony service center.

  • Hi, it seems that your operating system has damaged. You can try to hard reset / reinstall OS using hardware button. You also can try reinstall operating system use PC Companion from computer PC. You can follow both options with information at #Option 3 and #Option 4 above.
