Hi, yes you right. You need Internet connection while bypass or unlock forgot password using Google account after press Forgot Password button at your Sony Xperia M. You can try to use or borrow different SIM card which already have Internet access, then try again to submit your Google username and password. If you still can not access Gmail account, then you have to do hard reset with hardware button steps above.

We think that your Sony Xperia M still can access to Setting menu, then please follow the steps at #Option 1 above. Hi, if you use Windows operating system (Microsoft Windows 7 is recommended), then you should download PC Companion at your computer, after that please try to activate USB Debugging from Setting Menu > Developer Option > USB Debugging. But please note, at some Android operating system, you will not find USB Debugging because by default it hide first. You have to show it by Setting Menu > About Phone > tab several time at Build Number until the information about USB Debugging display (about less then 10 time)
