  • Hi, you can try first steps to hard reset your Sony Xperia M using hardware button combination key like steps at #Option 2 above. If you still can not reformat it, then you have to do hard reset using PC Companion with applications download from Sony official website, install that applications to your Computer PC with Microsoft Windows operating system. Please follow the steps for PC Companion reset with steps at #Option 4 above.

• Hi…I have a XperiaM C1904 model. IOS is 4.3. I changed the sim card and after that every time when I am trying to unlock the screen it is asking security password. And also it is sending one sms saying ‘ Sim card has been changed on 99xxxyyyyz’ when the phone is restarting. It is also not identifying the number I.e. Phone number. Actually I ported my sim and it should show same as previous but it is showing unknown. I have given 10 times wrong password to find forgot password button. But got nithing. Luckily this is same as my Gmail password. But I want to stop this nuisance. Please help..

  • Hi, it seems that your Sony Xperia M has already installed with some applications like anti-steal applications or something like that. We suggest you to totally reformat or hard reset your Sony Xperia M to clean up all applications. If you still get problem when doing hard reset using software menu, then you can try to do hard reset using hardware button combination key or with PC Companion. Please follow either #Option 3 or #Option 4 above. Both steps will not ask any password protection while doing hard reset, but please remember, all data and installed applications will be removed or wiped from your phone.

  I was updating my sony xperia M dual C200d yesterday, but due to failure of network, the update stuck up in middle and now my phone is not operating. Only Sony logo is coming during start up. After start up side off button key is also not working, battery is required to remove to off the phone.
  In PC companion phone connection is not showing as phone is not completely staring only showing sony logo.
  How to reset the phone.

  • Hi, updating firmware basically have to run 2 steps, first is downloading the formware which is need some time and good Internet connections, after that the process will continue to installing the firmware, usually all process need some times, therefore we always suggest to connect the charger while updating. However, you still can try to update using PC Companion and connect it after press volume button if the PC Companion ask that. Please follow the steps at #Option 4 above. Please note to start turn off ypur phone before connect using USB cable.

  • Hi, at standard Sony Xperia M without root, for some applications, we can do backup for data and move to other phone. In your case, you can move SMS using applications SMS Backup Restore which need to download from Google Play Store, after that we can copy backup data to external drive. At new phone you need to install the same applications SMS Backup Restore from Google Play Store and use the same data from old phone to restore using this applications, then all your old SMS will be available or restored at new phone. This is also happen at Whatsapp backup, because automatically every 4 AM Whatsapp will do backup. If your problem comes from build in camera applications, then it can be finish to force it work again with that new 3th applications camera. If all applications camera still can not work, then you should try to do hard reset to reinstall the operating system to factory default. If you camera still get the same problems, then you hardware problems may get trouble and need to get repair.
