How to Easily Master Format SONY XPERIA M (C1904/C1905) & (C2004/C2005 DUAL) with Safety Hard Reset?

• Hello,on my Sony Xperia M phone I have forgot my PIN password and I've researched on the internet how to restart it but it says forgotten password should come at the bottom? On my phone it dosent so i was wondering actually how to restart it.

  • Hi, Android have simple step if you have forgotten security password protection. Please find Forget Password button. If you can not find that button, you need to unhide it by answering wrong security answer continuously until the phone frozen and the Forget Password button will be appear. Press that button, then you will bring to answer Google accound username and password (Google Mail account).

      • Hi, if you forgot the security pin for Sony Xperia M, then you can try to bypass using Google account, please give several time wrong pin answer continuously until your phone locked or freeze about 30 seconds, at this time you will find Forgot Password button, press this button, then you can give your Gmail username and password that you have signed in before. If you still can not bypass your pin using Google account, then you have to force hard reset using hardware button combination key or using PC Companion like steps to hard reset above.

• Hi Xperia M, at first I was very much delighted to own you as my android phone. But now you know what, I am 110% disappointed. After 3 months usage, my phone starts hanging. Ofcourse i downloaded some apps and scanned by AVG anti-virus. While texting, my screen got frozen. The screen lock button works but the touch screen did not respond. I even rebooted my phone by taking off the battery. still it did not work. Hopeless! I have to do master reset and lost all my downloaded apps. Now it seems fine though! Can you tell me, why my screen got frozen and what is the best remedy?

  • Hi, there are many applications at Google Play Store that may make our Sony Xperia M become problem because the applications is not always created with good code or maybe that applications itself are not compatible with some smartphone, then this problem could make problem like something you got. With 1GB RAM and dual-core processor should ok to run normal and compatible one with Sony Xperia M, please try to read the applications review for unpopular applications that you want to use before download to Sony Xperia M.

  • Hi, Sony Xperia M is the smartphone with Android operating system. We can add many applications from Google Play Store or also by using offline APK files. Some applications out there may make our smartphone become problem because the applications are not always compatible or maybe some popular applications can also get problem with specific versions update. That is we can not fully sure about what applications good or bad. The recommended way to prevent problem at Sony Xperia M or other Android smartphone are try do download only good review applications from Google Play Store, do not install with offline APK applications since it may more easy to bricks our phone with with not safe applications. You may also not install too many applications if you not use that, because many applications in the background also can make our smartphone become hang or stuck in some situations.

  • Hi, if you mean the hardware power button has broken, then you should bring your Sony Xperia to nearest service center, because they can help you to open the main case without break the warranty.

• We have sony xrepia m dual smart phone.when i set network mode wcdma (preffered)/ gsm.and when i disable the data traffic. both sim become inactive. & i unable to call by both sim. no coverage signal .The phone required to turn off & again turn on for calling. why this is so?when i select network mode in GSM above probleme is not come. both sim work excellent. & not need to turn off yhe mobile.i use micro sim in both slot on which 3g internate pack use.so plz. guide which mode to be select on above sim ?OR can probleme in handset ?how to rectify the above probleme.

  i am verry upset about abuot this i have 3G internate but i can't use 3G internate network.

  • Hi, we are not so sure about changing GSM Mode to WCDMA Proffered or WCDMA Only or GSM Only, some phone usually not act like that. We can change every time and usually the network going to be able connect automatically after wait less then 1 minutes because the Sony Xperia or Android phone need to disconnect first and then continue to reconnect again after it already changed the network mode. If still curious about it, you can try to do hard reset to make everything back from the beginning and try to change the network mode and see what happen. If the problem still happen after doing hard reset, maybe you need to consult to official Sony service center.

    Btw, instead off doing soft reset your Sony Xperia M when your phone not get network after changing the network mode, you can try to do Flight Mode enable, wait for awhile and then try to turn off the Flight Mode, hopefully the signal will be back again.

• dear sir = i am reset the phone by authorised sony service centre
  but probleme remain same.
  i set the network mode in wcdma(preffered)/ gsm.
  probleme is when i disable the data network.
  the both sim coverage goan.not able to incomming & out going call. phone become ded .why it is so . plz. give suggation.

• My internet is not working on my sony xperia m dual. I think there is some problem with the handset as,it works on the other mobiles.what can i do? I have tried rebooting it as well

  • Hi, if you already sure the sim card is fine, try to see your phone data network is active from Menu Setting > Wireless & Network > Mobile network > Data enabled. Also make sure you are not in the flight mode. Other alternative you need to check is APN setting. Consult with you network provider to make sure the APN is not wrong. If everything is correct in you Sony Xperia M but the phone still can not access Internet, then you may try to perform hard reset or master format to clean all setting to factory default and also clean other installed application which may make your internet can not work properly.

  • Hi, at first we really not recommended for user to root their smartphone without any experience, because if the wrong step happen, then the phone should not work normally anymore. There are some option to Root your phone, but since we are never recommended to root, then we can not give advice how to unroot your phone.

• hi there i have problem with my xperia m , the screen has turned black. i cant see any thing :3

  • Hi, you have to make sure about the LCD hardware at Sony Xperia M. Please try to reboot or soft reset your phone, then if you can see the Sony logo at startup boot, then your LCD hardware should be fine. The problem maybe comes from your applications that block the display screen. In this case you should try to do hard reset or master format. The other probability if you can not see Sony logo at startup boot, then the problem should be come from your hardware, and need to bring to authorize Sony service center.

      • Hi, if your Sony Xperia M got strange problem, then you should do format or hard reset. There are several options that you can choose to format or hard reset Sony Xperia M. The instructions are available above. But if your phone still can work and you can access Setting menu, then using Option #1 to Hard Reset with Software menu are very recommended.

        However, if your phone can not work normally and you can not access Setting Menu, then you should do hard reset Sony Xperia M using hardware button key or the other solutions using PC Companion software that you need to download and install at your computer. • Sit i forget ma pattern and i also entered email id and password but it is not accepting it.... i also used OPTION#3 mentioned above but it z not reseting.. kindly help me plz as i hav xperia M Dual

  • Hi, you need to do hard reset because you can not access Google account for bypass the forgotten password at your Sony Xperia M. Please try the #Option 4 steps above, to do hard reset or reinstall clean Android operating system with PC Companion. You should download the file of PC Companion from Sony website and install it. Follow the steps to connect your Sony Xperia M with PC Companion using USB cable.
