Hi, it seems that your Sony Xperia Ion operating system already damage and you need to reinstall it using hardware button like #Option 3 above. You also have alternative steps to reinstall the os or firmware using PC Companion which install to computer PC and connect using USB cable like #Option 4 above.

If after reformat or hard reset using PC Companion your Sony Xperia ION still get problems, maybe your phone get hardware trouble and need to fix at Sony authorize service center.

Hi I bought Xperia ion a year ago and have been using it, its performance was great but suddenly it started hanging up a lot so I did a hard reset and it automatically switched off .Eversince that the phone wont turn on its shows red led light when the charger is connected but is not turning on I also tried hard reset again and again its still not working.
