Please try once again at computer using card reader, and you will see weather the external memory card still can use or not. You may also try to format the memory card to make sure still work or not. In some situations, memory card microSD can suddenly broken or can not use anymore because hardware (simcard) failer, and this problem is common especially for non branded simcard or old simcard.

  26. Hi, Thanks for all these info and you’re doing a good job.
concerning my Xperia C, I’m getting huge problem with the storage. well, I can update neither can i download new applications. The Device memory shows 100mb nearly left space while Internal memory is free;1Gb.
    I used all methods to clear the device memory;
    1. moved applications to Sd Card. (only that cane moved)
    2. deleted applications not useful to me.
    3. clear cache
    4. choose SD card as default memory for photos, music and videos.

Still, i can neither download new applications nor can i update an application. The mobile says insufficient space on device.
I purchased a samsung almost same specs as the Xperia C but the latter didn’t have these issues.

So please help me how to get my applications be downloaded and updated correctly without i have to constantly removed apps or clear cache to free space. Also, how can i use the Internal memory which is almost free. Because i find it quite stunning that a super android like xperia C to have Free space on Internal memory and device memory almost full and still can’t download.
You know also i choose to install new applications on the SD Card but still the issue is the same.
So Please help keep my faith on sony. Awaiting your comments.
Is there other way to use this Internal memory..??

    Reply
    • Hi, basically all installed applications will use internal memory for main storage, unless you do root to do some tweak, but please be careful to do that because we not recommended doing root for standard users. You may ask some professional if you really need to do that. If you use standard steps then you need to uninstall some not use applications because internal memory of Sony Xperia C is very limited at 4 GB which also use for operating system and factory default applications.

    • Hi, if you have done with reformat using PC Companion but the problems still happen, then maybe your Sony Xperia C soft keys hardware get trouble, and at this time you need to bring your Sony Xperia C to Sony authorize service center for further check.

    • Hi, please try to use different Android power charger which have minimum 1A current output just to make sure your default Sony Xperia C charger is not broken, because sometime although the light is turn on, but the current output is not sufficient. If this problems still happen, then please try to hard reset using Pc Companion, follow steps at #option 4 above, but you have to prepare computer which use Microsoft Windows operating system.

    • Hi, it seems that your phone has already rooted or use custom tweak room. Unfortunately we can not give good advice for rooted or custom rom Sony Xperia C. But maybe you can try to do hard reset to reformat all operating system, hopefully it will back again.

    • Hi, if you can access menu setting, then we suggest to directly do hard reset or reformat to factory default using menu setting at your Sony Xperia C. If you can not access menu setting, then please do hard reset with PC Companion steps at #option 4 above. You have to download PC Companion software first, then install at your computer pc, and follow steps at #option 4 above.

  30. hey,
i found some viruses (battery control, alarm controller, app market, call recorder, music provider etc) in my mobile xperia c, they are visible at apps option under all tab. i cant delete or disable them.
Apps are automatically installed in my mobile.
i tried formatting my sd card, reset factory and even hard boot my phone but nothing happened they are still there, what should i do?
    thanks in advance…

    • Hi, if you use official firmware, then the viruses will not appear by default unless installing some bad apps. Maybe your Sony Xperia C use rooted or custom rom operating system, therefore some bad apps will appear without installations. Please try to do reformat using Pc Companion applications but sometime it can not work at rooted or tweaked phone, then try to consult with Sony authorize service center.

    • Hi, unfortunately we can not give good advice for rooted your Sony Xperia C. But that is try that the limited of Sony Xperia C storage can make this phone memory or internal storage insufficient when install many applications. Apps2SD is one solutions and options but need root and we are not recommended to do that unless you know about bad possibilities. Please contact professional or expert to help you doing that

    • Hi, password or pin can be put at simcard, not only at hardware. Therefore try to remove all simcard then try to turn On your Sony Xperia C. If no password is ask, then you have to unlock your simcard pin using PUK or bring to your network provider service center.

    • Hi, first try to force soft reset or force shutdown or reboot to clean temporary files caches and restart all running applications inside your Sony Xperia C. But if still can not fix, then you have to reformat Sony Xperia C using PC Companion. Please download the PC Companion software and follow steps at #option 4 above to reinstall factory defualt operating system.
